“Collection by Vermant” is pleased to be able to offer you this magnificent and very unique Volvo 780 Bertone. This 780 was delivered new in Sweden, to a gentleman living in Storfors, on the 10th of April 1987. The first owner really set out on keeping this car as new as possible and this is visible in the condition of the car today with it being in almost brand new condition inside and out. It even spent some time in a museum. The car stayed with the first Swedish owner up until 2021 when it was sold to its second owner, a gentleman from the Netherlands. At this time the car had only covered a mere 22.400 km. The second owner kept the car for 5 Years and used it very sparingly to keep the car in brand new condition. Today the condition of this car is like it freshly came out of the factory, despite being almost 40 years old. This specific 780 was specified with the top of the range V6 engine that produced a healthy 145Hp and was mated to an automatic transmission.
Looking at the outside of this 780 we can see the beautiful Beige/Grey colour of Platina silver metallic. This is a very neutral and classy colour that suits the car very well and doesn’t draw away the attention of all the beautiful and special details of the car. Being a Bertone styled car we can proudly see their logo’s attached on the sides of the car just behind the rear windows. In the front we can see the 780 distinctive grille with headlight glass wipers. This was a very special feature that was mostly found on the more exclusive cars. due to the complexity and cost of integrating them into the front bumper. To further enhance the luxurious feel of the car a sunroof was optioned to give the interior a more spacious feel with the added interior light this brings and also allow the passengers to get some fresh air on a summer drive.
Going over to the interior we can see a beautiful grey and black leather interior that looks and feels like it just rolled out of the Bertone factory. The interior featured every single comfort feature that one could wish for and it was a very pleasant place to be. The ample use of leather and the beautifully finished Birch wood give the car a very luxurious feel and made it Volvo’s pride and joy that cemented its position in the luxury car market.
